Child coming from UK

I seperated from my partner some years ago in UK and have kept in contact with my children. However my youngest (16) is getting in with 'wrong crowd' and his mother wants him to come live with me. I am on JSA where do i stand with supporting him benefit wise if he comes to live with me?

Plus, once he comes apply for child benefit. will take a while to get it sorted out.
