ECU trouble in Audi Mutitronic

    Hi All

The car is a 2003 Audi A6. I was just wondering what price would it be to replace the ECU in a mutltronic gearbox.

Can the part be reconditioned or is it better to get the part new?

What is the labour involved in the job? Would a back street mechanic be able to do it or is it more a specialist job that requires certain tools.

    Input welcome

    Thanks in advance :)

ECU is quite pricey, not as pricey as a box, which could also be shagged

Is the ECU easy to get at ? Just thinking about labour costs.

The ecu doctor is a good bet.
He fixed mine no problem.Cost was around £150 plus P+P
There will be a delay because you have to post it over to them.
Have a look at their website

I know a mechanic in Galway that has done a few. So they are out there. A crowd in UK called ecu testing in UK do them too. They sorted my abs pump. You'll have to send it over to them though. Here is site: http://www.ecutesting.com/
