New smartphone for first time user

    Hi all

Ok as the title says I looking for a new smartphone. I've only ever had standard Nokias but am looking to change from a bad O2 plan to something else which offers data etc for the same price per month.

So I'm looking at an above entry level smartphone. I been on Amazon and seen some nice phones around the £100-£120 mark...Star etc.

I'd like something that has a big screen, good camera and basically offer good value for money. I suppose a phone that looks like an iPhone/Samsung but doesn't cost as much.

Also I presume if I buy one of these phones off Amazon or the likes I can just get them unlocked so my sim will be compatible?

    So any recommendations appreciated.

    Thanks
    Bull

Go with Amazon.de, 90% of the stock is simfree there.

The Ascend G300 is a good budget option. 2012 Xperias are good too(despite sony being muppets with software support).

    Thanks for replies guys.

Another question, are the Jiayu G2/Experia/G300 as big as the Samsung SIII? I'd like a phone around similar size to the iPhone as some of them are just too big.

GSMarena.com - Use this to look up specs. Iphone 5 is a strange shape so its a bit elongated but basically you want a 4" or less screen. At your budget most will be small enough.
