HI,so i got this letter in the door only yesterday requesting I attend an interview tomorrow....it reads

"Following a recent review of your Jobseeker's Claim, you are requested to attend for an interview at......blah blah

Please bring this letter to the interview and present it to reception upon arrival.

Please be aware that your payment maybe suspended and your claim is at risk of being closed if you do not attend

    Yours Sincerely......."

What is this all about?Doesn't exactly give away too much.Should I bring CV's or print-outs of recent replies Iv gotten from Job Applications or what?

    Thanks in advance

Seems like a random review as short notice.

Deffo bring anything you have as proof of your efforts in seeking employment.

well the only recent thing i have is an email sent to me last week acknowledging an application i made for a job.other then that I never even get responses usually.i was gonna print it out and bring it with me just in case anyways. But the letter is so vague, whats this interview likely to contain? All it tells me to bring is the letter itself

They know that most employers don't bother even replying to job applicants, so bring the one reply that you do have & a list of some others that you have applied to. They may discuss possibilities such as jobbridge/internships/further education. It's nothing for you to worry about. Always remember if you've nothing to hide you've nothing to fear.

wait till you hear this,it was a verbal warning for missing a meeting I didnt even know I had. They claimed they sent me a letter informing me my presence was needed at a one-to-one meeting in my local FAS office.I had to sign some piece of paper confirming Id received the warning and outlining why I didnt go.What a crock of ****.The "interview" lasted all of 3mins which is further annoying as I had to travel by bus from Maynooth to Ballyfermot,to sign a bit of paper and go again. This country gets worse by the day.System is rotten to the core. Why couldnt I sign the bit of paper in my Local dole office of FAS office??Piss take

Hopefully that'll be the end of the matter, though if you didn't receive the letter it's understandable you'd be annoyed over a warning.

i wish, apparently ill be re-issued a letter requesting my attendance to the original meeting,When i questioned what this was I was told it was to inform me of my options, what FAS courses are available to me and what not.Iv done 4 FAS courses in recent years and was informed last time I went about applying for one that they couldn't send me on another as they "had to keep places for other people" and it wasnt fair me doing so many in a wide range of fields. So in effect this meeting is going to amount to another waste of time. They really are a waste of space

    Wow. :o

Check your post or make sure they have your correct address, they don't "claim" to send out imaginary post

Sorry for the inconvenience that they caused you, they pay you every week and it's unreasonable of them to ask you to come into the office?? And they're trying to help you find a course or give you guidance on getting into the workforce. Rotten to the core!

    Grow up
