Help with Power connections!!

    Hi,
I'm putting together a build and am pretty confused over the correct power cables to connect to the motherboard.

    I bought this Motherboard :
    http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8B75M_LX/#specifications

    I also have this PSU (500W) :
    http://ocz.com/consumer/psu/modxstream-pro-500w-700w-power-supply/specifications

My question is, given the PSU has a 20 + 4 ATX connector, while the Motherboard has a 24 ATX connector, can I:

A: Plug the PSU 20 (+ the additional) 4 ATX connector into the motherboard to match all 24 slots??
B: Just connect the 20 pin connector and leave the additional 4 pins out?

The mobo manual says to also connect the 4 pin ATX +12V or else the PC won't boot.
Is this the same as the additional 4 pin mentioned above or a separate cable?
If separate, do i need to plug the 20+4 cable in AND the 4 pin atx +12V cable?:confused:

Thanks for any info you can provide to soothe my aching brain!! :p
