I got an email telling me my Paypal account has been limited due to suspicious activity on my account, strange thing is I never set up an account.I went about 99% through the process before but never completed the set-up.
There was a link to click on to verify I'm the account holder by validating if my info matches what they have stored on their server.
Obviously I didn't click the link.

Did anyone else ever get one of these emails?

As far as I know PayPal always use the name of the account holder, have gotten several scam emails from alledged PayPal contacts, but they never use the first name.

Report the email to PayPal. Happened me recently and I was fair surprised how good the scam email was. Any other person might have been tricked quite easily.

Absolutely none,I'm one of those who's automatically suspicious of unsolicited emails.Especially seeing as I don't use paypal was a red flag straight away.
Just wondering how many people have got them.

This is what Paypal say :
Together we can help stop fraud.

If you think you’ve received a phishing email:
    1. Forward the email to spoof@paypal.com
    2. Delete the email

    Be on the safe side
Go to the My Account tab and click History to check your transaction history for inaccuracies

We have been regular users of PP for many years and hav'nt received one of these emails in a few 3 years .

Upgrade your Paypal account to Premier and verify your PP a/c by using the 4 digit number sent to your credit card .

All this increases your Paypal security etc

Used to get them regularly, lately not so much. Spam emails are seasonal, right now its mainly Jessica Alba telling me how to lose weight, and UPS trying to deliver my parcel in new york (those emails, btw are very very well copied from the originals).
