computer went back to factory settings

    hello guys,

    i turned on my laptop yesterday ( samsung s3510) and it went back to the screen i had when i first bought my computer even though i was logged onto my account . A lot of things i had downloaded like Skype and chrome were gone but some still remained like itunes. A dialog box came up with this message ''You have been logged on with a temporary profile you cannot access your files and files created in this profile will be deleted when you log off. to fix this log off and try logging on later /please see the event log for details contact your system administration .

    so basically i tried system restore and that didn't seem to help so now im clueless as what to do .

    any suggestions ?
