It was so nice I took the long way to work. No frost, snow or anything else except a lovely relaxing cycle with other cyclists on the road. My carbon bike didn't explode either!

Now roll on time until it's the cycle home.

    Yeah it was nice.
First time for several months I commuted without gloves and skull cap.
Happy days. Throw another shrimp on the Barbie.

Even the wind was "warm". Lovely spin - looking forward to having it on my back on the way home.

Looks like rain later, hopefully a tailwind on the way home. Sure only the back of me will be wet....

Weather in Ireland is impossible to prepare for. While it was very windy I found it almost balmy compared to the last few weeks. Headed off yesterday after not been outside on the bike for a week in full winter gear. Overshoes. 2 base layers, tights, winter gloves, jacket, jersey, looked at Radar before i left so stuffed rain jacket into oversized saddle bag i have. Got 10 mins down the road and i was baking. Had to stop, strip off a few layers, and cycled with no gloves carrying all the excess crap i didnt need on my back for another 75K!!

It appears I have forgotten how to dress appropriately for this weather!

Looking forward to venturing outdoors in shorts tomorrow for the first time since September!

My Garmin indicated 20 degrees going through Portmarnock at midday. :)

Saw some ridiculously overdressed cyclists today including one with one of those balaclava type things under his lid. WTF?

    I think it's from that Norwegian one - www.yr.no

Actually, in my experience Met.ie are usually spot on. Looks like I'm good for long spins on Tuesday and Thursday and an indoor Wednesday as planned. I actually found today confusing and was drenched in sweat after a simple spin to town cos of too much gear. Hope tomorrow is roughly the same, I'll probably underprepare then though.

You're right, great website, I'll keep an eye on it over the next week and see how accurate it is.

Day off tomorrow, looking forward to a long spin in the sunshine.

Some gusting easterlies in the morning will ease off by the afternoon - sweet.

I 've heard of people taking the long way home but your commute home last Friday(?) beats all! :D
