    Hi,

I'm selling an item on DoneDeal and have a person interested in the item, and they want to pay me through PayPal.. The thing is, I've never usedPayPal before and am usure in the handling fees (if any exist) from PayPal. What i'm trying to work out is is there a percentage rate on the transaction and which side pays for it me or the buyer ?

There's a transaction cost and it's on your side unless they send the payment as gift (in which case they pay it). Also be aware that they can dispute an item via Paypal claiming non delivery/conformity etc.

Accept paypal if you're going to be posting the item. If it's face to face then it will have to be cash, otherwise like nody said the can claim you never supplied the item. As for fees, it's up to you if you want to eat them or insist that the buyer has to add X% to the price in order to cover paypal fees.

The Paypal fee will work out at around 15% , but you need to open an account with PP and add a card
