The dell is a solid choice. Some people like the 3d, others hate it. If it's an option at least.

There are different ways this is done. On 60hz models it is either halving the frame rate meaning you will be getting 30 fps tops or it halves the resolution to create separate left and right images.

Another option to consider. It should have a better panel than the Dell but a worse stand.

I saw the dell in action on my friends pc and it was nice. I'm definitely on the fence about the 3D. I don't see me having use for it.
I just got this a couple months ago. http://www.hardwareversand.de/3072+MB/68225/MSI+N660Ti+TwinFrozr+3GD5+OC%2C+GeForce+GTX+660Ti%2C+3072MB+DDR5.article
I don't know if that changes anything monitor wise.
The stand isn't really an issue it'll be on a pretty solid surface.

I'd probably go for the LG then.

It's using their new AH-IPS panel which is supposed to be better than standard IPS and is €30 cheaper.

It also has a hdmi unlike the dell.

Sweet!! Thanks a lot!! Just while i'm ordering you don't know if a fan controller is worth while? I have a h100 already but i'd like to be able to control it externally!

No harm in it. You could connect the fans to the mainboard if there are spaces free either. My board has 2 x 3 pin headers for cpu fans at the very top of the board. This would allow you to change the speed in the BIOS.
