A and C learner licences about to expire

Hi, I have an learner A (motorbike) that I got in 2011 that will expire in June.
I also have a learner C (HGV) from 2008 that will also expire in June.

My questions are: the current motorbike learner restricts me to driving bikes under a certain power and if I pass the test I have to stick to bikes under a certain power for two years. As far as I know this restriction has now been removed. If I renew my learner do I keep the old restrictions or go by the new rules? Would I be better letting it lapse and getting a new one?

I got my truck licence in 2008 before the rules on the compulsory training came in. If I renew my truck licence will I have to do the compulsory training?

    Thanks!
