There is no doubt about that there is growing resistance to the new property tax. But heres a thought

If we have to pay this in one hand - why not claim everything your also entitled to.
Any of you that listen to the radio or browse the internet reguraly must have noticed all the ads over and over again asking you to apply for tax refunds

If you're a PAYE (Pay as You Earn) worker, such as a receptionist, nurse or a teacher, your employer will deduct tax from your earnings. Most people don't know that they may be entitled to a refund of some of the tax paid during the year. The average Irish tax refund is €880* so can you afford not to apply? Specialised PAYE tax refund services ensure you get back all the tax you've overpaid including refunds due as a result of claims for additional credits and reliefs you are entitled to- such as

Medical and dental expenses tax credit
    Rent relief tax credit
    Medical insurance tax credit!
    Income levy and USC refunds
Tuition or trade union fees tax credit
Bin and water charges tax credit
    Single parent tax credit

*** I DO NOT have any association with any of these services ***

This is just a thought (maybe a silly one) - it could help pay your property tax!

Why pay for something you don't get?

Bin and trade union credits have been abolished, not sure about the rest.

This is out of date. Much of the stuff is no longer available, like the bin credit. Medical and dental only covers certain stuff, not routine things like fillings.

The bins should be collected AS PART of the Property Tax.

You shouldnt have to pay for a bin lift.

Take the contract back off Greyhound ( which are an offshore company) and let DCC start the household waste collections again.

So are these services giving us false hope or info? I never used any of them before but I just got my P60 and was going to try one.
I have noted also that the percentage fee is a nice bit

or you could not pay this unjust tax and also quite rightly claim back all you can and keep it, even paying it from tax back claim is still paying it out of your money ffs!!
