Maybe get back to whoever did the work on the bearings. Sounds like they forgot to connect back something. Can you hear the pump working?

In front of the seat, on the right hand side of the top of the gearbos, is a small bolted down cover. It may have a tipping pipe coming from it, and a lever. It will definately have a couple of bungs screwed itto it. Held down with 2 bolts. Take this off, this will reveal a metal pipe coming up out of the gearbox. This is called the "stand pipe". Now start engine. If no oil comes up this pipe, then either the hydraulic pump filter is totally blocked, or the valves in the pump are stuck or the pump was not reconnected at the time of the gearbox rebuild. Have a look on youtube, some good instructive videos there.

There is an excellent DVD on sale from the uk on overhauling and troubleshooting mf lifts. The 35 is the same as the 135 as far as I know. I overhauled my own but I will have to service the pump in over the summer.

It's well worth a few euros.

ive been told that ''the oil out of that should hit an aeroplane'' so how can i open it and not get covered in oil? :)

not sure about Masseys but on Fords you make sure the lift arms and loader/trailer ram are lowered.

Spin the engine with the stopper pulled, so it dosent start.
