    ive got a samsung galaxy s 2 that was updated to the latest firmware a few weeks ago via kies. the settings tell me its on 4.1.2.

    ever since that update ive noticed a small icon at the top of the screen next to the wifi icon. it only ever stays there for a second and i might see it once or twice a day and not see it again for a few days. it kind of looks like an eye with 3 squiggles, i dont see it long enough to remember if the squiggles are on top or below.
    the reason im wondering is, i didnt see it before the update and ive been having issues with the phone since about the same time.
    ive searched google over and over and cant find anything like it.
    ive drawn a quick pic of what it looks like, does anyone know what it is?
    thanks to anyone who can identify it. im pulling my hair out over it.:eek:

    Its the new smart stay feature. The screen is meant to stay on as long as you are looking at it. Not to sure how good it works. You can turn it off by going to
    Settings-> Display-> Smart stay

    Nice drawing by the way:p

    It's detecting your eyes. It is something to do with smart stay and smart rotation. It is on Galaxy s 3 and Note 2 so they must have put it on the S 2 on that new update you done.

    Thanks a million lads. It was driving me barmy.
    I just did a google images search for smart stay icon and it turns out my drawing was actually pretty accurate lol. Well chuffed with that as stick men are about all i can usually manage.
