Disagree. His material was funny. His delivery needs some polishing but to say he was not funny at all is a disservice.

I can't wait to see that silhouette show again on youtube- "Attraction". That was just brilliant for a first show, I don't want to say they could win because it's far, far too early, but they could take that act anywhere and tell any story.

That was definitely right up there with spellbound- the movement, the music...

That reminds me, the comedian chap with cerebal palsy, as he said himself it's the elephant in the room, completely got where he was coming from, so when Simon Cowell asked him what did he do?

    "I'm a professional gymnast"...

    Fcuking brilliant! :pac:

I liked him especially his Harry Potter gag :D

Anyone watching Britain's got more talent?

"We'd all like to give you one!" they chimed in to a burlesque dancer who to be quite honest about it, I don't think there was much MORE to see of her, so it's almost redundant to say I hope we do indeed see more of her! :pac:

Missed the HP gag, but the James Bond gag-

"I've been expecting you Mr. Bond".

    "no... lift"

    :pac:

She got turned down on The Voice UK, she has sound similar to Amy Winehouse, she was very good

I was about to say they should have a minimum qualifying age of 16 on BGT, but then I remembered some of the cast of the Shadow Theatre Company and Spellbound were under 16...

I just think BGT should be more than just about the wave of child singers we're going to see over the next few weeks. Sure the girl was an incredible singer, but will she still be an incredible singer in five years time? If so, then her talent would win out and it's more likely she'll have a longer career in singing than being put off it if she doesn't win BGT at 11.

    Alice Fredenham

Could be a unique find, can't wait for her next appearance.

We were talking about Fredenham girl and not the little kids:)

Not really a fan of young singers though - it is very hard for them to find the right balance of song to sing.

Ohh yeah, I remember her now, good singer alright, I dunno would I call her a unique find though, very sultry voice, reminded me of Katie Melua a few years back, probably nobody remembers this song though-

What is it with that fake scripted pretend conversing that x factor and bgt producers set up backstage for the contestants before their audition. I find it very irritating and i cant imagine many or any fall for it as genuine chat.

In fairness though, tonights show was dreadful compared to last week! :(

I really liked those two opera singers... But I can't really remember the rest. I thought the rapper was a bit inappropriate for a pre watershed show-I'm sure there'll be a few "mommy what's a booty call" after

Anyone see her audition for The Voice UK it aired last night and she didn't seem nervous like she was on BGT

Francine Lewis wasn't bad, then I read somewhere that she is not an amateur:

Yes she has been around quite a bit but I also liked her impressions especially Cheryl Cole :P

I may not be too interested in BGT (or any of Simon's shows for that matter), but I do think the Guardian's Stuart Heritage is wasting his time here...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,076 ✭✭✭✭Czarcasm

Well, that was creepy as fcuk! :pac:

This show must provide David Walliams with tons of new material for his Little Britain shows!

The signing woman is fairly interesting

    Ohh Jesus, enough already!

It's supposed to showcase talent in Britain, and the best they can do is two keyboard players? I need a humor transplant or something because that was bloody awful!

    And ANOTHER break??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,459 ✭✭✭Chucken

Well at least no one died!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,467 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

wonder what sort of health and safety rules they have for acts like that, you wouldn't want one of your volunteers changing their position too much

Your man looked a bit demented. I'd be a bit worried with him walking into the audience with a sword :pac:

I'd imagine the volunteers were actually planted there.

And very rarely I'd use that little rolleyes bastard! :pac:

Glad I only turned on half way through :D
Nice that David let a few of the weirder acts continue to the end

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,459 ✭✭✭Chucken

I didn't think your man was that good tbh, but you knew the second we got "oh woeeeee, Im working on a building site and want to be star", that he was going through.

Ah GT it was painful to watch. Where are acts like that shadow theatre company act that were on the first week, yknow? Now they were great, but there's been nothing like it since then.

I hate how some contestants are allowed sing a second song

Just bored out of my tree with the contrived, repetitive, boring, barely concealed smirks and carry on of judges.Particularly, David's pretend infatuation with Simon, funny for one week, and now not amusing ,just irritating.:(Even the acts are boring, standard very poor. Only exception was that original dance(with the silhouettes) act at the early auditions. bgt, I'M OUT.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

The standard is shockingly bad (apart from Attraction), seems like Britain has run out of Talent.

Who else is amazed that BGT is managing to stay ahead of The Voice UK in the ratings?

The people at Telly Mix aren't, which isn't too surprising considering that they seem to love Simon and everything he does...

    http://tellymix.co.uk/ratings/141738-britains-got-talent-2013-trounces-the-voice-uk-in-ratings.html (week 1 of BGT)
    http://tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv/britains-got-talent/142953-the-voice-2013-ratings-soar-but-still-beaten-by-britains-got-talent-2013.html (week 2)
    http://tellymix.co.uk/ratings/144199-the-voice-2013-closes-rating-gap-on-britains-got-talent-2013.html (week 3)
    http://tellymix.co.uk/ratings/145756-britains-got-talent-2013-continues-to-win-ratings-war-with-the-voice-uk.html (week 4)
    http://tellymix.co.uk/ratings/147190-britains-got-talent-ratings-hits-series-high-as-the-voice-uk-viewers-fall.html (week 5)

Hang on, you might say - those reports quote the overnight ratings, which aren't as accurate as the figures published by BARB two weeks afterwards.

Well, those figures also reveal that BGT is ahead of The Voice, albeit by a lot less than the overnights suggest.

Not that Telly Mix care too much, it seems...
