    Hi Folks,

Have a rooted tablet. I found my tablet got very slow and apps slowed down a bit as well. Factory reset it and everything's back to normal.
I'm wondering does using adblockers like adfree cause apps to slow down, if they are trying to persistently contact localhost waiting for ads to be served? I.e: apps stall/stutter at times. I have looked on Google but couldn't really find any info.
I'm willing to try adfree again, but thought I'd get a second opinion first. You do get used to lack of ads :D :pac:

    Cheers

    Nick

Not that I've ever seen no.

Whats the rooting method? Is it possible thats whats causing the excess load?

Using Adblock should be quicker than with ads, it creates a link in the hostfile to loopback so your phone doesn't look for the ad, it thinks it's already there.

No idea of the rooting method, it involved a procedure of clicking mad looking Chinese buttons in some strange program and waiting for root checker to confirm :) . It's been going fine since a factory reset, sure I'll try adfree again :) . My tablet is a Ployer Momo 8 IPS that I bought on Amazon btw :)
