Wondering if any plantspeople have ever attempted to grow Poison Ivy (Toxicodendron radicans) from seed?

It's a north american plant, haven't come across anyone here growing it. What do you want it for? It's not particularly decorative.

    Interested in extracting the oil.

The oil is toxic. I can only assume mischief of some kind.

    Nothing of the sort.
I want to see if it will work as a natural insecticide.

Do we not have enough dangerous, invasive, non-native species causing havoc? Why do we need more?

First help get rid of the japenese knot-weed, giant hog-weed and the rest

That's one heck of an extrapolation from my first post.

That's one heck of an extrapolation from my first post.

If you are referring to macthepac's post, I don't think it is. Why look to introduce a non-native, invasive, dangerous plant, and what makes you think it would be a good insecticide? It it would almost certainly be illegal to import the seeds.

If you want a natural insecticide try nicotinia.
