    It was originaly founded by an Irishman and now its pulled out of Ireland.

    Ah well its not all bad news for the ladies .....off to Dealz,Lidl and Aldi with yous for some cheap makeup.:pac:

    400 people working for Avon in Ireland ....self employed too,so nothing from Avon and nothing from the state either.


    Thats a fair few people to lose a job allright.

    I think it's really sad. I knew someone who relied on the extra Euro's it brought in to pay for extras like extra-curricular activities for the kids, swimming lessons, or little things that otherwise the family would have to do without.

    I don't think anyone's made a fortune out of it, but still it's another little erosion to the standard of living of quite a few families.
