Any Advice for following a few of the TDF mountain stages with a camper. Its something I've always wanted to do and Looks like this might be possible to squeeze in this year :D

I have absolutely no clue what we would be letting ourselves in for by doing this, I'm assuming lots of patience required, but it could be fantastic. Tips on things like when to get there, whether you are allowed ride the stages the day beforehand, and i'm sure lots of other do's and don'ts. Any info much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

From my understanding, you'd be doing well to get one mountain stage in. There's been a few threads on this and the bottom line seemed to be that you would want to be up the mountain at least 3 days before the stage.

    +1

It never sounds particularly 'family/partner' friendly if they are not as keen as you on pro-cycling

Thanks for that guys, I'd be happy if I only got one in, and the partner/family are into cycling so no problems there. Only concerns I have are the limits of my own patience.
