Payment of solicitors fees

    Hi, I was just wondering how and when do you pay solicitors fees ? what would be the usual would you noramlly pay your solicitor before the court case or after ?

    Sorry if that seems a bit of a stupid question Im just in the unknown here

    since you mention court case and I presume you mean District Court attendance fees ( or even District Court Appeals) and if the solicitor doesn't know you then expect to pay fees up front...eaten bread is soon forgotten etc

    yeah it is the district court.. emm okay thanks.. ehh would i contact the solicitor first about payment yes ? or would i wait for the solicitors secretary or whatever to contact me ? given that the case is next week

    I think it would be no harm to suss out the fee from the Solicitor and whether you have to bring cash to court either for the solicitor or if the Judge decides on a poor box contribution.
