    Hi all,
Just in the process of casing a raft and am wondering whats the best way to support the upper 9by2 however in this case the engineer has designed the raft with the top case to be 5by2 and the bottom case to be 9by2. there is a long span on one side 10m and i will have to support the 5by2 vertically or in some way to stop it sagging in the middle? i will have my supports nailed on to bottom 9by2 to stop any outward movement but how do i stop the sag in the middle of the long span?
