Hi I'm due to start a new job soon after being on jsa for a few months. Do I need to contact revenue to avoid emergency tax or is the p45 from my previous okay for my new employer to avoid emergency tax?

I had to ring them up with all my details pps number etc and my employers tax number. Get that off your employer.
Sweet sailing after that, no emergency tax.
I didn't have a p45 though.

I would contact revenue.
Give them your name, address, pps number and the date you are starting your new employment.
You need to give them they name and address of your new employer also.
I have move changed jobs a few times and I found that when I did this it kept my tax in order.
