The Ireland 700kg Tug of War team will enter the 2013 World Games in Cali Colombia as World Championship following their impressive display in Switzerland last year when they defeated Sweden in the final to win the gold medal. Click here to see the final.

Great news! I live in Cali so I would love to go and suport them...any idea what date they are playing and is it the mens or women's team?

The website for the Games is pretty useless in regards to info on teams.

What a disaster. They've had to cancel one gymnastics event and all of the others are under threat too. Dodgy temp air-con, too high indoor temps apparently.

USA Gymnastics pull their athletes by refusing to sign an FIG (gymnastics governing body) waiver absolving them of responsibility for providing a safe environment for training/competition. http://usagym.org/pages/post.html?PostID=12617
