At a guess I'd say it's not, Saorview requires a receiver with a DVB-T tuner and MPEG-4 video decoder. Freeview in the UK uses DVB-T but with MPEG-2 video decoding which isn't backwards compatible with Saorview.

Nothing on the label to indicate it has an MPEG-4 decoder.

Get a scan of the specs page in the TV manual to see if it mentions MPEG-4 decoding.
Get the full model no. and do an internet search.

As The Cush has said, it's unlikely to be compatible. The logos in the photos show "HD Ready" and "Freeview" but not "FreeviewHD" which it would need to be for Saorview.

    Hope this helps,

    Brian

It doesn't need to be Freeview HD to work with Saorview, though the absence of any reference to Saorview on the packaging would be a worry.

OP should just find out where the Tesco it was bought in is located. If seller says NI, let him keep the tv.
