CDG Terminal 2E Connection Time Query

Looking at flights through CDG Paris, the connection time between flights is only 50 minutes. Both flights arrive to and depart from Terminal 2 E. I had a look at the map but it's hard to tell scale of walking from that.
I know the CDG airport recommends 1 hour within Terminal 2. However we'll also be within the same Terminal Hall.
Has any one had experience connecting through that terminal?

Yep did it last year going from Ireland to South America

City jet (air France) flight from Dublin lands out on airfield and then you get a bus to terminal.

Then if I recall you go up a few flights of stairs before you arrive the the security screening.
I can't remember if you go through any French Passport control between getting indoors and the security line
How long you are at security screening all depends ion time of day I suppose

Once through that it's just one long long corridor with the gates all along it.

50mins is certainly do able if theer are no long queues or you are not delayed.

Another point is that you do not want to spend too long in 2E, it's full of high end shops but very low on places to eat/drink.

CityJet to Air France transfer in T2 is very straightforward. 50 mins is tight, but as long as outbound isn't delayed you should make that. As long as its a through ticket with AF then in worst case you'll still be ok.

    Youll be fine.

Airport is about as straighforward as they come.

Definitely doable. I've made 2E to 2E in 25 minutes with a dodgy knee and being patted down and having my bag searched through security as I put the bottle of water I got onboard into my bag!

Just know your route and don't be hanging around, and try to select a seat close to the front of the plane even though Air France will usually select a seat closer to the front for short connections.

The shuttle from plane to Terminal is the real time consumer as its around 10 mins.

Also wear comfy shoes just in case!

thanks for all the replies! good to know from first-hand experience. From CDG website gates close 15 mins before flight. so if we take up to 35 mins getting through, we should be ok.
The flight is by AirFrance and should be checked-in straight through. So I'm guessing if we miss that one we should hopefully be put on the next one.

PS: anyone know where the airlines T&C wrt to carriage and connections are? Googled all sorts of word combos and came up empty.... :(

Yeah youll be sweet. dont fret.

Wrt the TnC I have been informed that if the airline allowed the booking and you miss the flight due to their delay then they should put you on the next flight.

Agree to posted before. Just to add, when you get to T2E pay attention to the signs and don't follow exit obviously, cause in that case you will have to go to passport control (you will pass security again). You'd want to follow the signs for the gate for your second flight and that info can be found on the screens when you arrive in the terminal.
Also some of AF/Cityjet flights now arrive @gate so it saves you the bus trip to the terminal, but that just seems down to sheer luck. Like others said before if AF let's you book a combination of flights and you don't make the connection they'll sort it out (next flight and accommodation if required).
