Laptop purchase - Recommendations please

Finally getting around to purchasing a laptop for my travels.

    Budget is €1,000

Looking for something with a 15" screen and that will be capable of both photo and video editing using lightroom and sony vegas software.

I don't know much about the techy side of things relating to what's best in relation to specs etc.

I was told a few months ago to check out the 15.6" ultrabook on pcspecialist.

It has a nice slimline design and would be ideal for travel purposes, but I also want to make sure its powerful enough to have juice for editing(basic travel related videos and photos).

I then saw the 15.6" Enigma IV as well.

Which one in yer opinion would be best suited to my needs?

I'm going with 16GB RAM and an SSD regardless of what I buy.

Appreciate any info I can get on this.

    Thanks..

I have seen the UltraNote with an i7 3632QM in action and I can assure you it does have plenty "juice". It will handle anything you'll throw at it with ease and the IPS display is just excellent. ;)

The Enigma is can't be configured with a lower TDP i7 and the 3630M is a little bit faster even. The GT 650M should be a bonus with SONY Vegas, not so much with Lightroom. The Enigma also has a 2nd HDD bay.

The call is really yours. If you want mobility then the Ultranote is the one. If you want sheer power then get the Enigma (maybe you should ask in their forum about the different displays).
