    Hi All,

I am going to Disneyland Paris in May of this year. It is me and my 8 year old son. We hope to get the train from CDG to the Park. Can I ask has anyone else done this, and would you advise to get train ticket before you travel, and can anyone tell me if the train is easy to find once off the plane. There is only the two of us and I want to look like I know where I am going, rather than being an easy target for pick pocketers...as I hear the airport isnt very safe.

I have read up on all the tips for the Park itself, but if anyone has been there recently I would love to hear any advice..
We went to Legoland 2 years ago and we flew and bus'd and walked it everywhere....we love nothing better than backpack on and making it an adventure.. :)

    Thank you in advance.

Haven't gotten that train myself but I can tell you it's easy to find. The trains into Paris are all accessible from the arrivals hall in CDG and are well signposted. You will spot the one for Disney easily.

Your son is at the perfect age for Disney. He'll be able to go on most of the rides. In the main park most things are geared at his age group or younger and in the "Movie Studios" park I would recommend the "Finding Nemo" ride and the stunt show. My son was eight when we went to that. Lots of car and motorbike stunts and people falling off buildings.

    You'll have a ball. Enjoy:)

@ tinkyk68.. that is great to hear that it is well sign posted..I didnt want to look like a lost tourist..So thank you, I wasn't too sure whether to get a shuttle from airport to DL, but hopefully it will be ok.

It sounds amazing over there, I have never been before and decided to go after his communion when he will have a few bob in his pocket to spend as he likes.. :)

It is a few years since I was there and at the time we had a few days in Paris, then got the train to Disney. Most of the kids on the train were wearing their Disney costumes so if all else fails at the airport train station, look out for the princesses and superheroes ;)
We got the train from the park to the airport the same day and it was very straight forward, the train station is right at the entrance as far as I remember. Have a fun trip :)

just some further info for you... If you are arriving off an Aer Lingus flight you will find yourself at Terminal 1. Directions to the trains in my experience are not that well signposted if you are not familiar with the airport. You will need to take a CDGVAL shuttle train over to Terminal 2 and walk from there to the station. It isnt any great distance overall.

For more info take a look here... http://parisbytrain.com/tgv-train-cdg-to-eurodisney/

Otherwise PM if you need more help if not enjoy ! :)

We got the disney bus last year, walked out of the arrival gate and out the door infront of us where there was a shuttle waiting to bring us to the main bus, the bus trip was about 35 mins to disney and it dropped us and picked us up at the front door of our hotel. €70 for 2 adults and 2 kids

Went there last week with an 8 year old too!
That's the site we used as well to get the TGV directions. Aim to get to Terminal 2 first. It's all very well sign posted. Actually as poster above said, look out for CDGVAL signs too. Sometimes they're not necessarily beside the Terminal 2 signs. I wouldn't have known what that was if I hadn't checked out that link. T2 is other end from T1 with T3 in between, a bit counter-intuitive but it's well signed. Takes about 10 mins to get there.
Then look for TGV or SNCF signs. In the ticketing office the left door/queue is for RER and the right one is for TGV. Saw some ticketing machines outside, but rather than figuring out which needed to use just went to the ticketing counter. The queue was short as everyone else was queueing for the RER trains into Paris.

Checked out prices for TGV tickets online before leaving and didn't see any difference with buying on arrival. When it's very busy season, I don't know if it would be an advantage to have it prebooked. The tickets are for a particular train, so you'd want to know in advance that you'd have enough time to make it to the train. We paid 68 Euro for 3 adults and 1 child. Had to wait around half an hour for the train. Train takes only 8 minutes though! It's totally worth it if you have the money. Coming back was around 95. Prices differ on the time of day, starting from 15pp for adults.
Make sure you get all your group tickets together, as it's assigned seating. Because of a misunderstanding with the teller we'd only got 3 of the tickets, went up to get the 4th one and my husband ended up on a separate carriage. Enjoy!

Hi thank you very much. This is all great information.

There is only the two of us, so it is definitely worth it. My little man, loves trains so this would be just a bonus for the rest of the holiday.:)

Did your 8 year old really enjoy it? Can I ask which part they enjoyed the most? :)

There's a dragon cave near the princess castle, which he thought was amazing. It's really not much, but takes only 5 mins for the amount of excitement.

If he likes trains, make time for the Disneyland Railroad. It tends to be quite busy all the time though.

There's a Lightning McQueen Stunt show in Disney Studios. It shows only 2ce a day maybe and lasts 40 mins. McQueen doesn't feature much but the boys loved the car/motorbike stunts.

If he's a brave kid, then any roller-coasters that he's tall enough to go on are a hit.

Here's what we had time for:
We went on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster twice (probably the best one) and on Big Thunder Mountain (not overly exciting but the 8 year old liked it), but he wasn't big enough for Space Mountain or Temple of Doom (adults went, kind of equivalent to the first 2). Also went on Tower of Terror.
didn't know what this was and if we knew, we wouldn't have gone :) However my mother and I screamed our heads off as it drops you several times!

Star Tours is a simulator ride. It's fun enough for the kids I think.

He went on Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, where you get to shoot bad guys on the ride. He was over the moon with that, as he got lots of points.

He went on Toy Soldiers Parachute drop too, which he liked as well.

Were going to skip Alice's Labyrinth but turned out he liked running around in circles in that one.
Didn't get to do these so can't comment:
Didn't go on RC Racer, but it's basically a U shaped track where you go back and forth.
Didn't get to go on Crush's Coaster either, as it had long wait times. It's supposed to be quite good.
Didn't have time for Tram Tours, Armageddon or Michael Jackson's Captain EO either.

There's lots of kiddie rides in Fantasyland. He felt he was a bit old for them, the likes of Dumbo, Teacups, Aladdin's magic carpet and Peter Pan's flight. However, I'm sure other kids may very well like the more easy-going rides.

Make sure you stay for the Disney Dreams light show at the end of the day. I also recommend getting all Fastpasses asap in the morning. By early afternoon the popular rides have Fastpass wait times til like 6pm!

I cant thank you enough for the info, and for stirring up the excitement :)

He is 4'4'' so I am hoping he will get on Space Mountain, even though he will only be 8. It all sounds amazing and he would love all the stunt shows.

I really do need to research all the rides, to make sure we don't miss anything.I am silently happy that he is too short for the Indiana Jones ride...looks terrifying. :)

    Thanks again

Hi guys, sorry if already mentioned somewhere but I am going to Paris in October and I plan on going to Disneyland for a day trip with my girlfriend the morning we arrive. I have booked a hotel by the Louvre for the 3 days while I'm there so could somebody suggest the best way to get from Disneyland to the Louvre. I plan on getting the fast train from the airport, I just don't know how we will get into Paris City from there.

    Very much appreciate any response

the best way to get from Disneyland to the Louvre.

RER A from Disneyland to Chatalet. About 35 minutes direct.
