    The Experience Japan Seminar Series - “Beyond Japanese” - will consist of two lectures on Japanese language and translation in Japanese popular media.

    “Fan Translation of Anime, Manga and Video Games: Hard fun to engage learners” by Dr Minako O'Hagan (DCU).
    This lecture will address the increasingly visible translation practices of fans of Japanese popular culture and considers whether they could be a 21st century solution to engaging learners in affective learning.
