Would anyone have any ideas on how to break into this area?

I know its basically a revenue commissioner role, would it be a case of getting into the civil service and then working your way in?

I'd imagine it must be very hard to get into this area right now, or for the forseeable future

My uncle works in Customs. He started as a clerical officer in Revenue. After a few years he requested a transfer to Customs. He worked his way up. He has always liked the variety of the job. But says the paperwork is never ending.

It's a civil service job and until things change there'll be no new recruitment in this, or any other area
