well here's the suss, at the start of march I had sex with my boyfriend and the condom broke, so I went a got the morning after pill, everything seemed to go okay, and I got the early period, then the day before I was supposed to start my regular period we had the same situation, sex and condom broke. so I went and got the morning after pill again, within like 2 hours of the intercourse taking place. everything seemed fine and I got a light period after about five days of taking it. now, I have stomach pain and a little breast tenderness. I'm freaking out, and it's 12 days until I'm supposed to have my regular period again, but I know the pill messes it up. any opinions please? I'm terrified!!!

From experience in this situation, worry/stress can cause irregular/missed/prolonged periods.

Edit - and ps, you should perhaps also consider some other form of contraception?

thanks for replying, I'm going out of my mind. and I can't bring myself to do a pregnancy test cos it will just make it real (if something is up) so do you think I should just stop worrying and try forget about it for a while?

I've have many allergies unfortunately, one being something in the contraceptive pill, so I've to get something like the bar but I keep hearing horrific stories about the pain of that. any other recommendations??

If the condoms are breaking that regular then someone doesn't know how to use them or they are the wrong size or you are using the wrong type of lube.

I would honestly suggest not having sex for the next while until you body sorts it's self out. You've put a massive dose of artificial hormones into your body, about the same amount as a years worth of contraceptive pills in a very short space of time.

Those hormones are to trick your body into thinking it's already pregnant so that you don't ovulate so you can end up with pregnancy like symptoms.

For the best advice I would suggest you ring the IFPA National Pregnancy Help Line 1850 49 50 51

This is more a personal/relationship issues type thread, so if you like I can move it to that forum, however Morag's advice is sound. Closing in case medical advice starts appearing. Hope things work out for you okaykeeno

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
