Hey lads, thinking of picking up a wheel upgrade and looking fulcrums and Khamsin's on bike24.de The hey are a tenner difference in price, which is the better deal do ye reckon?

Also, is it worth stumping an extra tenner for the CX versions (sealed barings) over the normal versions if I'm going to pretty much use them all the time?

I reckon they are effectively the same wheel, with one branded Campagnolo and one branded Fulcrum. Same hubs and rims with different spoke pattern on the rear wheel. The additional 3 spokes on the rear of the Khamsin probably results in the nominal additional weight.

If I was running a Campagnolo groupset I'd buy the Khamsins otherwise I'd buy the Fulcrums!

I ended up dithering between these as well and went for Fulcrum 7s based on slightly better (IMO) reviews. I used Ribble as Bike24 were out of stock at the time, good price and service. Watch out for extra postage costs for big items on Bike24, they seem a bit cheaper then they are.

having a big arse those 3 extra spokes could probably save me retruing them too often :P

I don't fear the faux pas of campy wheels and a shimano groupset, I cycle a touring/cx bike with a tiagra group, I'm not all that worried about style :P

Running Khamnsins for well over a year.
    Love them.
Had to change the front bearing not so long ago and it really made a difference to thee wheel.
I reckon the rear wheel needs new ones now.
Just broke a second spoke this morning which considering the road I ride and that I aint no skinny climber is ,qiute frankly, remarkable.
I commute, train and race on them.

BTW there is a guy selling a set on adverts which are effectivly brand new. I know as I have seen them.
EDIT: He seems to have withdrawn the ad.
