    Hi,

I'm looking to get about 5 foot of 1" steel pipe that I can cut into lengths of about 14".

Preferably in North Dublin or the city centre and even better if they'll cut it for me.

I tried Ferrum steel (Baldoyle) near me and they do it but only in 25 foot lengths, I don't mind a bit of excess but not that much. The guy said I could come cut it in there but they're not open at the weekends.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks,
    John

    Plumber might have some.
Or look up steel works or steel fabricators in your locality.

I got some from MEC fabricators http://swords.yalwa.ie/ID_103143639/MEC-Fabricators-Ltd.html and they cut it to size. Most metal fabricators should be able to help. B&Q also sell some 25mm steel pipe and chrome pipe it's not very strong but might work, you could also try some pluming shops for 1" gun barrel.

Was in B&Q in Liffey Valley a while ago and they seemed to do all sorts of metal piping.

Leslie Reynolds in Ballycoolin Ind Estate out near Blanchardstown...but they only do stainless piping and fittings.

Ive used them before and they are very good.:)

Ive also used this crowd before, and they are also very good.

You also have Heiton Buckley Steel merchants on Nass Road.

There is also a steel supply shop beside TJ O'Mahonies out at the back of Dublin Airport, where you cross over the old Ashbourne Road.
