Looking to buy some LED lights for kickboard / plinth in kitchen.

Any suggestions re an electrical wholesaler. Would expect Woodies, B&Q, etc to be too expensive.

Below are in B&Q for €80. Hoping to get cheaper somewhere else in Dublin?

if you are up for buying online to save a few quid I bought these for my decking, was planning on buying them for the kiitchen too..

they're top class quality, really solid and have stood the test of a winter outside with no sign of wear. Very easy to connect, a transformer into a 3 pin plug and the lights are daisy chained together.. deffo recommended.

a bit of a mix, not too 'cold' looking if you know what I mean, but not quite yellow, picture doesn't really do them justice, if I remember tomorrow I'll take a better snap.

Get strips, rather than spots. Looks a better job imo and very quick and easy to fit. Plenty of options on colours now etc, and can be cut to any length needed.

How would strips work on a plinth/kickboard though??

Would it not look a tad "unsightly"??

Kitchen kickboards drilled out with a holesaw and then the LED plinth lights fitted would look nicer...no??

Sticking the strips on the bottom of the cupboards above the kick board would hide the strips so that they are not visible

Interesting..so you wouldnt see the lights or know they were there, only until you see their reflection when they are on.

Sounds like an idea there allright.:)

The earlier models were like this: $(KGrHqJ,!gwE+26ejT2fBQOmmEdTKg~~60_3.JPG

Where now they are flat and easy to stick on and hide and no drilling holes

Just to add you can cut them at any of the black lines, between the two jacks then join with supplied cables for different presses or corners etc.

Ye about 2 months ago iirc but think it was nearly €50 for 5m and €9.99 for a 1metre length so better options and prices from a wholesale option

Multicoloured strips can even be connected via a controller and be set to any colour of the rainbow or on party nights be flashing multi colours to the beat of music. For those types look at places like Here
