You should go to see the caves when you're there. They are really worth visiting.

I was in Nerja for a wedding about 3 years ago. Unfortuntly my dreadful memory can't remember any of the restaurant names but there are an abundance of them and they're all nicer than the next. Just go wandering up all the streets and you'll find them

...actually the only place I remember the name of is Bar Redondo - tapas bar, quite laid back with good food

Nerja's small, so just try everywhere. I stayed in a small, refurbished family-run pension up near the bus station (Hostal Abril), very cheap and pleasant. Also stayed in Balcon de Europa - fine, but less character, but we managed somehow to get a good view.

The square on which Balcon de Europa is (if that *is* the one Im thinking of) is touristy - a pleasant place, but a little pricey. But generally things are good value. There'll be loads of places to eat nice stuff, especially grilled and fried fish.

I think there are places also by the port? Unless I'm now confusing towns.

There's a market, so best to stock up on ham, cheese, bread, etc. and eat al fresco. Cheaper and part of the experience.

One of the finest Chinese restaurants that I have eaten in anywhere was in Nerja.

The seafood is amazing, the best prawns I've ever had was in Nerja. There's a couple of restaurants on the beach serving lovely seafood, although there were a few beside the beach serving egg and chips. It was a couple of years since I was there so sorry for being a bit vague.
