Bought a Nintendo wii today in smyths, hooked it up to my samsung plasma tv with the composite cable included. Giving a perfect picture but no sound. Tried using the scart adaptor included as well but same result. Tested the wii with the same cables on my ma's tv and worked perfect so the console and cables are fine. Any ideas on how to get the sound going or am I going to have to order a component cable online? Thanks for any help

So the Wii and cables work on another TV but both the SCART and composite inputs of your TV won't give you sound? Can you test the inputs with another device?

Buying a component cable is worth it though, the upgrade in picture is great.
