While the big boys and girls are in action in Balbriggan, the youth are doing us proud in Scotland. Just saw this news: "Ireland's Emily Birchall of Neenan Travel Talent Team 2020 wins Stage 1 of the Youth Tour of Scotland."

The y-axis is lap times, not speed;)

It looks like anyone who was lapped either dropped out or was DQ. The three last placers only completed 4 laps.

Crit with a less than 1km lap, would've been fantastic to watch.

Birchall hung in 'til the death for fourth on the stage:

So Birchall holds on to the overall GC by 5", is leading the KOM, second on points, and Ireland are second placed on the team GC by 56". Bloody great stuff!

Stage 3 was this afternoon, a TT, no results yet though.

BOOM! Birchall takes the TT, with joint second place going to Ciara Doogan, also on the Ireland squad!

That means heading into tomorrow's final stage, Birchall has extended her lead on the GC to 14", and the Irish team have gotten a little closer to top spot, still in second with a deficit of 36".

Top class act taking place in Scotland!

Birchall wins the final stage with another solo win to take the overall! She also takes home the polka dots and the green! All three jerseys! :)

Squad kept their second spot on team GC too!
