Switched to this crowd a few weeks, I am now enjoying dial up speeds , I have a whooping 0.69 mb download speed at the minute, rang them the last two nights to complain, said they would sort it out, it was decent today but from 7pm it just slowed down. Anyone had any luck dealing with them ?

I have never heard of them; their caps seem tiny, and they're clearly in serious trouble with comreg albeit for something minor: http://www.comreg.ie/_fileupload/publications/ComReg1328.pdf

I'd get back to a proper ISP ASAP.

We are two months into a year long contract, says on it we would have to pay up the remainder to get out of it.

    hahaha

you do realise if you just dont pay the bill they will cut you off and thats it

honestly it amazes me how terrified people on here are of service contracts.

Besides if they did bring you to court (they wont) you could just say it was breaching the sale of goods and supply of services act because of the crap service.

Would rather not go down route if possible, seem to getting regular speeds of 10 meg since I rang them to complain, hopefully that continues

I always thought Pure were a nice bunch to deal with. Lady on the phone was sound out and even recommended another company over them as they don't do the service I needed. There's so many providers now though.

Did you get your broadband off them ?

Has anyone good or bad recent experience with Pure Telecom? I have been offered “Pure Off Peak Broadband Bundle from €40”.

Most of their past reviews on Boards.ie have been bad but is that because people who are satisfied do not post about it?

I use the landline mostly for broadband internet connection, often during what I presume to be peak times so how would this work out with the “Off Peak Bundle”? There would be a very small number of incoming and outgoing telephone calls.

Pure are marginally cheaper than my present provider (Eircom) but the service from Eircom has been reasonably good and I would be afraid of getting locked into a contract with a company that seems to have many dissatisfied customers.
