Me car insurance is up in few weeks so I spent this afternoon ringing around for quotes, just thought I'd throw them up here in case they come in handy for anyone renewing soon.

    Car: 98 Fiat Punto 1.2
    NCB: 3 Years
    DOB: 16.04.1991
    Penalty points: 2

    Renewal Quote (Liberty): €659.47
    Allianz: €1120
    FBD: €641
    One Direct: €970
    Aon: €898
    Aviva: €1350.02

In the end I went back to Liberty with FBD's quote and they matched and I stayed with Liberty.

Aviva have always quoted me ridiculous money so I just wanted to see if they're still at it, and they are!

    This post has been deleted.

My wife is with aviva, and her premium was going down every year for the last 4 years.
This year I was affraid it's going to rise after gender discrimination issue, but no.
It went down again to minimum (280euro) and person I was talking to offered additional "personal accident" cover as she said wouldn't rise the premium which was on their minimum threshold anyway.

I got my first policy last year with Aviva and they were far better than anyone else, same at renewal time

    Car: 07 VW Passat 1.6FSI
NCB: Last year 5+ years named driver, this year 1 years own name (50% discount)
    Age: 22/23
    PP: 0
    And protected no claims discount

The OH just renewed with 123, called around and could not find anybody cheaper. Liberty were shocking, looking for €550 when 123 was €300.

    Car: 06 2.0TDI Passat
    NCB: 5+ years
    PP: 0
    Age: 37
    Location: Dublin

Fully Comp with Open drive, step-back protection, rescue cover etc from AIG (through a broker) - €564.06

Little tip: Make sure you give them an accurate market value for your car. Mine was still based on what it was worth a few years ago and by adjusting it to the current value I got €50 off the quote. Never under-insure your car though.
