PSU help

I installed a new OCZ 1250 w today however when I went to boot up the system kept restarting every few seconds the fans would spin then stop and restart I removed the graphics card and it booted I re installed my old PSU and its works fine please help

Im thinking that too The support think it may be a short somewhere but would that not affect the old psu.
