    Hi all,

We bought this nest box with camera last year :

    http://shop.birdwatchireland.ie/birdwatchireland/product_info.php?cPath=25_27&products_id=847

Half dismantled it at the end of last year and now can't find the plug to connect the camera with mains power. Have searched high and low and I have spotted robins in around the box so think we might have a nest in it this year. Any idea where I could get a replacement plug?

I posted here as I figured some of you might have the same nest box and will know what I'm on about!!

    Thanks

Looks like a standard DC power output transformer; check the voltage on the camera and see if you have any matching voltage phone chargers or power supply units from any other gadgets that are knocking around the house.
I presume it connects in to a TV, was the picture any good from it?

I don't think it was just a normal charger type plug though-I think it had some connector on it for red, yellow and white jacks that go into the tv?! Not explaining it very well?!

But yes, the picture was crystal clear when it worked!!

Should be a normal DC transformer, probably 9V. Try ebay. The yellow and white connectors on the cable running from the nest box will plug straight into your TV. The transformer will plug into the cable via the red connector to power the camera. You'll need to check the plug size before purchasing. By the way, those cameras aren't too fussy about supply, I have 2 9V cameras running off 12V supplies, no issues!
