Your best bet is to ring around, you will need about 3 million 3rd party and then you add the value of the boat,trailer,engine and any other bit's and pieces, then they will work out a price based on the hp of the engine the type of boat and how much experience you have, if it's worth over €10.000 they might come and have a look to see it's worth what you say it is. Tell the truth on the form "if you have a 25hp don't say you have a 5hp" or it will come back and bite you :eek: same goes if you say it's only for inshore fishing and you have an accident 5 miles out at sea
You will also get a better deal if you do a powerboat course http://www.powerboatschool.ie/ this is for any boat with an engine not just big race boats also if you are a member of a club like http://www.iwai.ie/ ,http://www.powerboat.ie/forums/ or some of the fishing clubs they knock a few quid off.
