Could anyone tell me how much would a 2009 Ford Mondeo 1.6 litre petrol engine car with 24,000 Kilometres be expected to sell for?

Have a look at carzone or any such site to get an idea.

A four year old Mondeo I'd suggest is donedeal territory. OP will get an inflated estimate of his car's worth if he looks on carzone where most cars are for sale from dealers.

They have never been far off for me.

They have never been far off for me. And I said it would give an idea not an exact value.

This may be better suited to the motoring forum.

    What spec is it?

The 1.6 was only available in LX or Zetec spec. It's say it will fetch around €9500 if the condition matches the low mileage. Would appeal to someone who wants a decent size car, does small mileage and isn't bitten by the diesel bug.

They still do but they are few and far between.

That's in/around the book value for one with 70k on, so may be achievable in a private sale - if you can find the right buyer, who's willing to pay €750 a year to tax one (Co2 of 172g according to my book).

Sounds like the kind of car that will be for sale for a good while before the right buyer turns up.

I did a check on a 09 reg 1.6 yesterday on the motor tax site and it said it was €570 per year which I thought was ok given that was around what it would have cost on the old tax system. If it is €750 to tax then it will struggle to sell at any price imo. I remember dealers heavily discounting the remaining petrol Mondeos they were stuck with back in 2009.

Average price in that bracket is about €10.6k. However most of that is dealers. Your mileage is well below the average.

Thanks to all. A taximan recently expressed interest. Its the basic 1.6lx, tax is 570, right enough and was taxed at end Jan. - also had to undergo NCT - with 24kKms. Crazy!
