Guy's whats the new rules or cost of importing a Caddy van from UK, is it know 13% of the current open market value of the vehicle?
    Or is it €200 still.

VRT was never 200 on a lcv (only 200e on goods vehicles over 3.5T), was and is 13.3% of omsp, i.e. the notional value that the revenue man puts on it

see sentence after emission based vrt rates.

    hope this helps

    I have come across this,
    Vehicle Registration Tax
    Section 1
    Procedures and Processes in Revenue
However, certain vehicles, that at all stages of manufacture are classified as a
category N1 vehicle with less than 4 seats, and have a technically permissible
maximum laden mass weight that is greater than 130% of the mass in service of the
vehicle with bodywork in good running order, designed and constructed for the
carriage of goods, are charged VRT of €200 subject to the correct documentation
accompanying the vehicle e.g. Certificate of Conformity/NSSTA/IVA.

Im looking for a small van with 3 seats in the front, ie newer model berlingo or peugeot partner etc. Prices seem to be lot keener in the UK however Im hearing different opinions in relation to the import duty I would be paying to bring it in here. On done deal all of these vans that come in with UK plates are advertised as €200 vrt and they are less than 3.5 tonne weight ??
