Creating a floating bed

    Hi all,
Hope this is the right place! Basically, I have a log cabin in my back garden, and I was thinking of making a floating bed/mezzanine in it. Just the width of a single bed. All the walls are wooden, so I am trying to think of the best way to attach a base. The walls are 2.3m in height, with the highest point being 2.9m at the arch of the roof. I was thinking of attaching wooden planks to the walls and then using them as the supporting structure. Basically all at each side (top and base) of where the bed would be. Should that be strong to hold the weight of the bed, or would I need to use any other supporting structure?

Im not a carpenter or anything, but I want to try and use some of the roof space thats available.

    Thanks
