Upgrade for Flight Sim X

    I have the Flight Sim X Gold edition and below are the ' required specs. But as you may know you can turn up the graphics, traffic, realism etc.

    So what would I need to upgrade to enable me to have a fast, good looking smooth game??

    Nothing.

    The game is 7 years old. Your CPU is on par with 2006 Core 2 Duo processors (Conroe) which were pretty much top end back in the day (if you discard the Quad and Extreme editions) and your graphics card is faster than any high end card from 2006 (for example a 8800 GTX).

    Your system should be well able to run FSX smoothly at highest detail settings.

    It really depends on what addons you want to run, very few run the vanilla flight sim. You'll get info on the addons in the flight sim forum
