Hi Lads, just wanted to get yer opinion on deer dog. I ll be starting stalking this year Ive been lucky enough to get nice bit of permission in Galway and have a 2 and half year old weimaraner whos a great bird dog. Just want to know would I ruin him if I tried to introduce him to deer blood now aswell or should i maybe look at gettin a female pup and start bringing her on for maybe next year?
    Thanks

Try him on a few blood trails and see how he goes. It should be no bother to him. Once you have him walking to heel and staying when he's told to he should be grand.

Thanks I was thinking it over and hes so used to working on birds few yards infront of me I dont want to ruin him by bringing him back at my heel and putting him on different scent. Was chattin the missus and she fancies a pup and luckly came across one with field trial champions as parents and granparents so picking her up in morning
