There's a small DIY job that needs to ve done in your house. ring a handyman ... fook that, ill fix that washing machine/ rewire the lights myself, making things 10 times worse.

Only damage I've done is to myself, cuts and bruises. what's the worst damage AHers have done with their DIY efforts.

Yes, I did have a DIY disaster. No, I can't say what it was or the whole country would know... never mind, that's enough detail.

I've done the usual measure 3 times cut 15 and end up with too short a piece of wood... Cutting a sheet of ply once , set it on wooden trestles, cut through trestles, And my piece de resistance put down two new laminate floors (badly) new skirting painted Walls ect, all done except for a piece of trim to cover the gap where 2 floors meet at a doorway , drill holes in floor to fit trim.. All good ... My dad asked how I knew to miss all the heating pipes under floor at that point ?? Haven't found out yet wether whole lot has to come up again ...
