Bought a steam mop last week. Only used it on tiles and very happy with it .
Front rooms and hall are semi solid wood. Is it safe to use on them ? For some reason I think it's not

Its fine to use on wooden floors,,,you simply turn down the amount of steam/pressure to a low setting and you then an use it on wooden floors.

    Simples.

    Hi there,

Also have similar floors, but were told not to use steam mops. We were given 'Deteroil' which is a soap type cleaner for wooden floors....back to scrubbing!!!

I would imagine if the floor is well sealed it shouldn't be a problem...like many floors if the seal/varnish is worn it wouldn't be recommended
