None of my DTT boxes or TVs have changed their time I think this happened last spring as well. I assume this an RTENL issue as all equipment is set to auto update. Surely it can't be that difficult to set their systems to go forward an hour at 0100 GMT.

My non-approved Sony TVs had no problem with the change but the Saorview approved Walker PVR didn't auto-update the front panel displayed time until the unit was taken out of standby.

Well I just checked my TVs two different makes and Saorview aproved and they still haven't changed their time. The EPG is also out of whack as well of course!

Is the time set to auto in the settings?

Yes it is I've changed it manually on the TV in the kitchen because it was annoying me! However the EPG is still on GMT.

Last night on 2FM there was several seconds of silence at 1 a.m. GMT, then a lady read the news, THEN they played the time signal pips, then she announced that it was now 2:02 BST, total farce!

How was that total farce ?

The time signal pips are supposed to come before the news on the hour, not after it.

Playing time signal pips, then announcing that it's two minutes after the hour is total farce.

    Got it now?

The pips on 2FM were never accurate, they're just a gimmick to probably "sound cool".

Clearly you don't get it either. The point is that some idiot pushed the button to play the pips after the news headlines, whether they were an accurate indicator of the time is neither here nor there.

No because completely messing up the junction such as no news and kicking back to music and/or giving the wrong time message would be total farce .

They only did one element wrong playing the time pips at an odd time , the news was where it was supposed to be and to remind people of the clock change they mentioned the time
