Saorview digital aeriel problems

Just bought a tv for 2nd room in our house but having an issue with the aeriel I bought a digital indoor aeriel but tv cant pick up the signal does that mean I have to instead get an aeriel which goes into the attic or outdoors ? If so is this easy to install ?

There is no such thing as a digital aerial. What you need is an aerial capable of receiving uhf signals. Try the indoor one near a window that is facing your nearest transmitter.If it dose'nt give you a picture, you'll have to get an outdoor aerial. Have a look at www.satelltie.ie and www.tvtrade.ie. There's loads of info about aerials on those 2 sites.
